Reminder - Next talk 31 May 2022 on Richard Fletcher

All, a reminder that our next online talk is at 19:00 on Tuesday 31 May 2022. Martin Stoneham will be talking about the life of engineer Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Richard Fletcher, the officer who managed the construction of the Lines of Torres Vedras.  He served in several campaigns around the world before his death at the siege of San Sebastián in August 1813.

Our Next online Talk - Tue 31 May on Richard Fletcher RE

Our next talk is on Lieutenant Colonel Sir Richard Fletcher, the Royal Engineer officer who led the construction of the Lines of Torres Vedras.  Fletcher served in the Peninsular War from 1808 until his death at San Sebastián in 1813. Our speaker is Martin Stoneham, the Chairman of the Friends of the Royal Engineers Museum and an expect on many aspects of the Royal Engineers.
