The date has been confirmed as Sunday 22 May 2016. If you do not know about this, the ultramarathon runners, run the length of the Lines of Torres Vedras. Those who complete the whole distance will run about 100km in the day!

http://www.cilt.pt/en The date of the Ultramarathan has had to be changed. It is now planned to run the weekend of 21/22 May 2016, the actual date is yet to be confirmed. I will provide an update when further details are known.
Advance warning - Nick Hallidie is organising this event at The Bull Hotel, Long Melford, UK from 12 October to 14 October 2016. Speakers will cover a range of topics of relevance to the Peninsular War. The programme is not finalised yet. I will publish more details as they become available.
