It was a great pleasure to attend this event in the wonderful surroundings of the Cavalry and Guards Club in London.
The night before , 20 October (Lines of Torres Vedras day), a dinner was held in the Club. The special guest was his excellency, the Portuguese Ambassador, His Excellency, Manuel Lobo Antunes
The conference on 21 October was attended by 55 People and was attended by the Mayor of Torres Vedras, Carlos Manuel Antunes Bernardes. Speakers were; Professor Mendo Henriques, Professor Charles Esdail, Colonel (Ret’d) Nick Lipscombe, Dr Mark S Thompson and Clive Gilbert MBE.
The talks were excellent and the contributions from the attendees added greatly to the success of the day,
