Ultramarathon 2016

The day has been set for next year's Ultramarathon.  It will be held on Saturday 30 April 2016.  The format will be different to allow runners to start and finish in daylight. This has been a challenge the last two years. A range of distances will be available for groups to run, although I understand the full 100km will still be available for a limited number, if you want to start your day at 3am!

Further details will follow as they become available.
 

Apply House, 20 October 2015 - Lines of Torres Vedras Day

A reminder to all. We have booked Apsley House for the afternoon of 20 October to commemorate the Official Portuguese, Lines of Torres Vedras Day.  The plan is for a tour of the house followed by a talk by Professor Malynn Newitt on 'Beresford and Portugal, post Peninsular War'.  Refreshments will be available.  It is hoped that the Duke will join us at some point in the evening.  We are also looking at an option for ending the evening with a meal.  Indicative costs are £30 for the tour and £75 for the meal (including wine)

Annual General Meeting 2015

The Annual General Meeting was held in London on 20 July 2015.  A new Chairman was elected, Andrew Dismore.  I am meeting with him and the Secretary tomorrow and full details of the AGM will follow after.
